For veterinary and care practices · Australian-founded
The record follows the dog,
not the clinic.
Myhuman.dog gives your practice a complete booking and care platform, and gives every dog you treat a continuous, owner-held record that can travel into your consulting room with their consent, and be written back to after the visit.
Takes under a minute. No obligation.
Myhuman.dog Pty Ltd is an Australian startup company founded in 2026 by Alex Darius.

What Myhuman.dog is
A dog's whole life, in one place their humans control.
Myhuman.dog is an Australian, privacy-first platform built around a single idea: a dog should have one continuous record, identified by their microchip, owned and controlled by the person responsible for them.
That record holds identity, health history, documents, care plans and the practical detail that makes a dog an individual. The owner decides who sees it.
CareCentre is the professional side of that platform. It gives your practice a complete booking and operations system, and connects it to the dog's record, so the information you need can reach you before the visit, and what you find can stay with the dog afterwards.
The problem
You meet the dog. You rarely meet the history.
A referral arrives without the imaging. A vaccination certificate sits in an owner's inbox. A previous clinic's notes never travel. The owner is the only constant across a dog's life, and they are usually holding the least complete record of it.
Myhuman.dog gives the dog one continuous, owner-managed record, and gives you a way to see the relevant part of it, with the owner's consent, before the dog is on your table.

A booking engine you can trust
Double-booking is not unlikely. It is impossible.
Two bookings physically cannot occupy the same practitioner, room or kennel at the same time. That is enforced by database exclusion constraints, underneath the application, not by code that could be bypassed by a race between two clients. It is proven before every release by firing simultaneous bookings at the same slot and asserting exactly one wins.
Every provider action carries an idempotency key, so a receptionist double-clicking on a poor connection cannot create a second booking.
Availability is computed in your location's own timezone. A practice with locations in different timezones has each location's day resolved separately.
- Where it is enforced
In the database, by exclusion constraints, beneath the application. No screen or code path can bypass it.
- How it is proven
Before every release, simultaneous bookings are fired at one slot and exactly one is asserted to win.
- What it covers
Practitioners, rooms and kennels, from every screen that can create a booking, online or at the front desk.
One diary, not two: on-the-spot booking
"So now we have two diaries: the online one, and the real one at the front desk."
No. Reception books into the same diary.
Your front desk has its own booking screen: a patient walks in between appointments, or rings, and your receptionist puts them into an open slot then and there. It is not a separate system, a spreadsheet or a phone-bookings workaround. It is the same calendar the online booking writes to, running through the same engine.
That means an on-the-spot booking gets the same protection as an online one. It cannot double-book a practitioner, room or kennel, because that is prevented in the database, not by whichever screen made the booking. And it lands in the same audit history.
Capability detail, verified
- A dedicated provider screen and provider booking-creation route, implemented as walk-in and quick-add
- Permission-gated: creating bookings is its own permission, so a practice decides which roles have it. Reception can be granted it without granting anything else
- The booking is flagged as a walk-in, so on-the-spot and online bookings can be told apart in Insights
- It runs through the same booking path as every other booking: the same exclusion constraints, the same idempotency, the same audit trail
For a patient already known to the system, it is one screen.

Why this is different
Every other booking system belongs to the clinic. This one belongs to the dog.
What exists today
Practice software is built around the practice. The record belongs to the clinic, the calendar belongs to the clinic, and the dog exists as a row inside one clinic's system. When a dog changes practice, moves city, sees a specialist or arrives at an emergency hospital at 2am, the history does not travel. Everyone starts again from what the owner can remember.
Booking widgets do not solve this. They are a calendar bolted onto a website: a way to fill a diary, not a way to know an animal.
What we built instead
We inverted it. The dog is the primary record, not a row in yours. Identity is anchored to the microchip, not to an account or a clinic. The history belongs to the owner and persists across every provider they ever use.
Booking is the door into that record. It is not the product.
Three things at the centre
01
The centralised dog profile.
One record, across every provider, for the animal's whole life, not a copy in each clinic's database.
02
Microchip-first identity.
The dog is identified by the thing that is already legally attached to them, not by whichever account happened to make the booking. Two clinics referring to the same dog are referring to the same record.
03
Security and privacy at the centre, not bolted on.
The owner grants access, can revoke it, and providers never receive personal data they do not need.
The principles underneath
Stated policy: the rules the system is built and reviewed against.
- Privacy first
Public and provider contexts expose only what is needed.
- Microchip first
Identity is anchored to the microchip, and the raw value is protected.
- Owner sovereignty
Owners manage their dog's profile, records, documents and sharing.
- Data minimisation
Provider workflows do not expose unnecessary owner or dog data.
- Audit first
Important actions are traceable.
- Idempotency
A retried operation is safe.
- Time correctness
Bookings, health events and reminders are timezone-correct, server-side.
- Server truth
Client-side state is never authoritative.
The result is continuity: for the dog, for the owner, and for you.
Takes under a minute. No obligation.
Built on the centralised dog profile
Not a booking widget bolted to a calendar.
Booking is the front door. Behind it is a dog profile built around microchip-first identity: a care timeline, a document and sharing centre, the Digital Twin of allergies and handling notes, and private messaging between owner and practice.
- Microchip-first identity
the dog, not the account, is the anchor
- Care timeline
vaccinations, consultations, tests, procedures, weight and observations
- Document centre
certificates, reports, results, discharge notes
- Digital Twin
the information that makes the dog an individual. Opening in stages: allergies and sensitivities, and home rules and handling, are available now.
- Private chat
between owner and practice, with file attachments, notifications and auto-response, before or after the visit
One owner, every dog they are responsible for, one record each, identified by microchip, not by account.
Continuity of care
The visit is not the unit of care. The dog's life is.
When a booking is confirmed, the owner can share the relevant part of their dog's record with you (history, documents, allergies, medications) and can revoke that sharing at any time. After the visit, you can send results, reports and discharge notes back to the owner, who adds them to the dog's record, where they stay with the dog for the next clinician, the emergency hospital, or the specialist you refer to.
Owner sovereignty
Nothing enters a dog's record without their owner. You share results with them; they decide what becomes part of the permanent record. That is deliberate.
How a record moves through a visit
01 · Before
The owner shares the relevant part of the record
History, documents, allergies, medications. Revocable at any time.
02 · The visit
You meet the dog with the history
Preparation questions and intake already answered at booking.
03 · After
You send results, reports and discharge notes to the owner
Through the booking relationship, with attachments.
04 · Onwards
The owner adds them to the dog's record
Where they stay with the dog for the next clinician, the emergency hospital, or the specialist you refer to.
The two continuity mechanisms, both live
Planned careLive
An owner can place a forward marker for care that has no appointment yet: "this dog will need this, around then". It reserves nothing and blocks nothing. It exists so that intent survives between visits, and so preventive care is planned months ahead instead of remembered late.
Suggested rebookingLive
At the end of a visit you can propose the next one. It arrives in the owner's own reminders as something they can act on, so the next appointment happens without your reception team chasing it.
Regular preventive care is better for the dog and more predictable for the practice. The administrative burden is what usually stops it. This removes that burden from both sides.
Who built it, and why
Built by someone who has solved this problem in human healthcare.
Myhuman.dog was founded by Alex Darius, a dog owner with a background in IT and business, and experience in healthcare and interoperability.
Interoperability is the discipline of making health information move safely between the organisations that hold it. Human healthcare spent decades learning that lesson: that the record has to follow the patient, that the person at the centre has to be able to grant and revoke access, and that fragmentation is not an inconvenience but a clinical risk.
Veterinary care has the same problem and almost none of that infrastructure. Myhuman.dog exists to bring what human healthcare learned to the animals we live with.
Privacy: what providers never see
You get what you need. Not everything they have.
Not exposed to providers by default
- Owner legal name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Postal address
- Raw database identifiers
- Payment internals
- The raw 15-digit microchip value
Free-text reason fields on a no-show, cancellation or reschedule actively reject contact-style data (Australian phone formats, email addresses and 15-digit sequences), so identifiers cannot leak sideways into a field nobody thinks of as sensitive.
How identity is handled
The dog is anchored to their 15-digit microchip, but the raw value is protected: providers do not see it by default. Day-to-day, people and systems refer to safe identifiers instead, a Dog ID or a booking reference, so a dog can be discussed, matched and supported without the sensitive number moving around.
- Raw microchip
Protected. Not displayed in provider contexts unless explicitly required and authorised.
- Internal database identifiers
Never surface.
Infrastructure, only as stated
Our core production application and database are hosted in the AWS Sydney region. Some specialist service providers may process information outside Australia; this is explained in our Privacy Policy and collection notices.
Encrypted connections, encrypted database storage, private application and database network boundaries, managed secrets and controlled authenticated access.
The technical foundation
Australian-hosted, and built to stay up.
Where is my clients' data?
Our core production application and database are hosted in the AWS Sydney region.
Some specialist service providers may process information outside Australia. This is explained in our Privacy Policy and collection notices.
What happens when it breaks?
The application runs as containers on AWS Fargate across multiple availability zones, with no servers to patch and no single machine to fail.
The production database runs across multiple availability zones with automated backups retained for 14 days, deletion protection, and encrypted storage.
Who can get at it?
Encrypted connections and encrypted database storage. The application and database sit behind private network boundaries. Secrets are managed, never stored in code. Staff access uses multi-factor authentication with recovery codes, role-based permissions scoped per location, and emergency access that is logged and reported.
Automated challenge protection guards public forms and sign-in against bot traffic, and every API route is rate-limited.
How are clients notified?
Booking confirmations and reminders are sent by email.
Designed for reliable, responsive access for Australian users, with managed infrastructure, automated backups and operational monitoring.

The early partner programme
Become an early partner practice.
We are selecting a small number of Australian practices to bring onto Myhuman.dog before public launch, and to work with directly while we do it.
What acceptance brings
Practices accepted into the early partner programme receive three months of complimentary CareCentre access and setup, and work with our team to tailor the booking module to how the practice actually runs: services, calendars, availability, policies and preparation questions configured around your operation, not a template.
After the complimentary period
If your practice chooses to continue afterwards, early partner practices receive preferential pricing. Terms are discussed and agreed with you before the complimentary period ends. There is no automatic charge and no automatic renewal.
What applying means
Applying does not create an account and does not guarantee acceptance. We review every application and will be in touch.
What this form does
It records an application that a human reviews and follows up. It does not create a CareCentre account.
What acceptance includes
Your practice appears in Care Finder, the public directory where dog owners search for care by service and location, with your own care centre page and online booking. You control what is listed and when your page is published.
Telling the story, if you want to
If your transition goes well, we would like to tell that story. Early partner practices can choose to be featured as a case study on the Myhuman.dog care centre site, always with your approval of the final piece before anything is published.
FAQ
Questions a practice manager asks.
Is this a practice management system?
No. Myhuman.dog handles bookings, your public presence, your team's access and the dog's continuous record. It complements your practice management system rather than replacing it.
Does it integrate with my existing software?
Not today. We are not claiming integrations we have not built.
Do you support cats?
Not yet. The platform is dog-only today. Support for cats and other species is planned and is not available now.
What does it cost?
Pricing is discussed directly. Payments between you and the owner are settled outside the platform.
Is it built, or is this a pre-launch pitch?
Built and live in production. The CareCentre and Booking module runs today, and every capability described on this page is enabled.
What does the early partner programme include?
Practices accepted into the programme receive three months of complimentary CareCentre access and setup, and work directly with our team to configure the booking module around how the practice runs. Full programme terms are provided before anything is activated.
What happens after the three months?
If you choose to continue, early partner practices receive preferential pricing. Terms are agreed with you before the complimentary period ends. There is no automatic charge and no automatic renewal.
Will my practice be listed publicly?
Accepted practices get a care centre page and a listing in Care Finder, where dog owners search for care by service and location. You control what is listed and when your page is published.
Do I have to be a case study?
No. It is entirely optional, it is not a condition of acceptance, and nothing about your practice is published without your approval of the final piece.
Does applying commit me to anything?
No. Applying does not create an account, does not commit your practice, and does not guarantee acceptance. We review each application and contact you to discuss it.
Can reception still book people in at the desk?
Yes. Reception has its own booking screen and books into the same diary the online booking writes to: same calendar, same engine, same double-booking protection, same audit history. It is one diary, not an online one and a real one.
Can I control what my clients see and book?
Yes. Services, durations, availability, booking rules, holidays, closures, policies and preparation questions are all set by you, without a developer.
What can you see about my clients?
Owner name, email, phone, address and the raw microchip value are not exposed to providers by default.
Where is our data hosted?
Our core production application and database are hosted in the AWS Sydney region. Some specialist service providers may process information outside Australia, as explained in our Privacy Policy and collection notices.
Do you send SMS reminders?
Booking confirmations and reminders are sent by email today.
Is there a mobile app?
A Myhuman.dog mobile application is in development and will be introduced after testing and app-store readiness.
Who owns the dog's record?
The owner. They choose what to share with you and can revoke it. Anything you write back becomes part of the dog's record with their consent.
Can more than one location use it?
Yes. Access can be scoped per location, and each location's availability is resolved in its own timezone.
How do we get started?
